George Strait was born may 18, 1952 in Poteet, Texas.
The instruments he plays are guitar/piano. His hobbies are steer roping, hunting, fishing, golf. He grew up helping his School teacher Father, on the family ranch. While George was in the Army, he began playing country music to pass the time, and when he returned home in the early 1970's he put together his band (Ace in the hole.) They then became extremly popular in the covernous dance halls of the Southwest. One of his greatest songs with the help of Alan Jackson is, "Murder on music Row" In his career, he's given away more than he could ever ask for, says George, in his typically humble way. I'm just another guy, in Honkytonkville.
